MDX-aU housing for Sony a7IV, Silver w/Optical TTL Connection(50139)
MDX-aU housing for Sony a7IV, Silver w/Optical TTL Connection(50139)
Use your Sony a7 IV camera to capture compelling content with the silver MDX-a7IV U Underwater Housing from Sea & Sea. This aluminum housing features ergonomically designed controls for all key functions, TTL fiber optic strobe connections, a vacuum pump and leak detector, and a larger acrylic back panel than previous models for the best view of your camera's LCD screen.
A tethered port cover assures your strobe cables will stay connected and dry. The vacuum pump and leak alarm protect the camera in two ways—confirming the housing is airtight before the dive and alerting you to encroaching moisture during the dive. Sea & Sea's silicone Grip Plus handles feature ball bases for attaching lights or arms, and they come with stainless steel lanyard loops for ease of transport. The port lock assures your port won't loosen or turn, and the lens-lock release button allows you to swap lenses without having to remove the camera from the housing.
The port lock prevents the port from turning or loosening, and the port lock lever is specifically located to avoid being unlocked accidentally.
The housing has a lens-lock release button that makes it possible to change lenses easily without opening the back of the housing.
Pulling out the focus/zoom dial gives sufficient room inside the housing to easily accommodate larger-diameter lenses.
All controls have luminescence stickers that glow in a dark environment for better visibility of controls.
Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. Other optional viewfinders, such as the VF180 1.2x, VF45 1.2x, and Optical Viewfinder 0.66x, 0.8x, can be used. When the VF180 1.2x is mounted on the housing, the upper part of the camera's viewfinder cannot be viewed due to vignetting.
Compatible with Sea & Sea Optical YS Converter S1, which performs TTL auto light control
Equipped with two sacrificial zinc diodes (one on the front case and the other on the rear) to prevent electrolysis damage.
A vacuum pump leak alarm unit is effective not only for the early detection of underwater flooding accidents but also for the protection of equipment by checking its waterproof performance before entry.
A tripod screw mount is located on the center underside of the housing.
Features an under-guard to protect the housing from scratches and abrasion.
